Frequently Asked Questions

How are lessons structured?

  • Both private and group lessons take place via Zoom, though I am open to in-person lessons on a case by case basis.

Classes usually start out with puzzles, then a lesson on a new concept (i.e checkmate patterns, tactics, calculation), and end with free play (against me, a bot, or a classmate).

Of course, lessons vary based on experience, engagement, and goals so there's lots of flexibility here!
